Sworn, Civilian, Reserve Officer and Volunteer division is selected for this prestigious honor representing his or hers respective classification. The persons chosen for this honor are nominated by the members of the association and the recipient is later selected from this list by an independent association panel. Listed below are the recipients of this award.
In 2004, we merged our selection of the Reserve Officer of the Year category into our Support and Volunteer category. The decision was made due to the reduction in our reserve division. A part of this reduction in this division was due to changes in the legal requirements to become a Reserve Police Officer, some reserve officers being hired as full time officers with this department, some have retired from the work force and unfortunately a few have passed away.
